Deep-fried E-Bake

A colored sketch of my OC, Ebak (please google her name). I didn't get around to coloring it until about 1-2 years after it was drawn but my god look at those colors.

Macy and Percy, twin cat maids

Dude. Middle school Mel was SO proud of this one!

I was obsessed with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya at the time, so that no doubt was an influence.

I never developed these characters much past this artwork. They are meant to be based off Siamese cats. I think Percy was meant to be an axe crazy yandere. I was just entering my edgy middle schooler era. But that was never expanded further (thankfully)

Tellissian OC group picture

This is directly based off of a previous OekakiBBS drawing (it's the first image) which was in turn inspired by Yuu Watase. These are my Tellissian OCs:

  • Blue haired girl: Marawe (design ancestor of Herrington)
  • Red haired girl in upper right corner: Ebak (design ancestor of Emily)
  • Girl with veil: Chauntelle
  • Red haired guy in lower right corner: Enci (design ancestor of Mr Cass)
  • Bottom middle: Steimei (I'm seeing lots of parallels between her and Princess)
  • Green haired guy: Kizus (who are you again)
  • Pink haired girl: Naoyo
  • Middle: Joaijihag - I reused assets from this picture.

The only character whose design has remained relatively unchanged is Naoyo. Everyone else here is essentially an ancient ancestor of their current incarnations, or I haven't drawn them in like 15 years.

This was done at the start of eighth grade. I was beginning my edgy middle schooler phase. Good times!

Champagne supernova

A colored artwork from the summer of 2006. I was heavily inspired by the art of Zeiva. I think it would be fun to revisit this someday.

Coloring Club Contest

According to the filename I submitted this for a contest. Let's see what I can remember. It's all coming back now...

I was in a Deviantart group called the Color Me Club. The theme was summer memories and we would submit a lineart based on that. The winning entry would be used for part 2 of the contest, focused on coloring.

Obviously I did not win, but it was fun. I colored my lineart anyway. It's no masterpiece, but I love that lil crab creature.

Here is my coloring of the winning lineart entry. My mom protested the girl's lack of pants (hey, not my fault!), so she made me add a pattern to make her more decent. It ended up being a good idea, I like it.
