Herrington snow globe
I was invited to participate in a snowglobe contest on Deviantart but in a classic Me Moment I didn't finish my submission until after the deadline. But I don't care because I wanted to do something with the prompt anyway.

Scenery December 2024
Coastal scene. This was based off a photograph from the family archive. It's probably someplace out west.
Rhododendrons falling into a pond at our local zoo, inside the bird and butterfly house. I liked the way the flowers floated on top of the water and gathered at the water's edge.
A chilly day in the woods.
A quick and experimental digital painting of an Italian town in the mountains. I would love to explore a town like this.

October 2024 scenery
Painted over an old artwork from ~2009. It brings back memories of bringing my Windows XP laptop to my grandparents' house and making this. I miss them...
Another paint-over, the original is from around 2013. It just needed a few little touches to shine.
Experimenting with a painterly style. Scatter brushes, fringe, and textures! The image is based off a photo I took during a family road trip.
Fall colors. This one is the most experimental but I am pleased with how it came out.

Dipinto esagono alla prima con Dante

Progress shot. This hexagon design was based off a folk art design I saw in a book at the library.

Alla prima strato completo con il mio gatto nero Dante.
.JPG)
A closeup of how I filled in the various shapes. The goal is to mix paint on the canvas but leave brushwork visible and not overwork it.
